Red Seal Preparation Certificate

This course is designed for people who have almost completed the 6,000 hours needed to write the Red Seal examination and who need to review the theory essential to successful completion of the exam.

Red Seal Preparation Certificate

The “Red Seal” is a certification of qualification issued by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and recognizes a journeyperson or apprentice who has successfully demonstrated knowledge in a trade through proven work experience.

Red Seal Certification

The Red Seal allows qualified trades people to practice their trade in any province or territory without having to write additional examinations, thus improving labour mobility in Canada and saving time and resources by eliminating the need for multiple examinations. This instruction is geared to the industry professional who needs to learn more about the theories of cooking but may not have the ability to do so on his/ her own. We offer private small theory classes for cooks and bakers who wish to obtain their Red Seal from the Ontario Apprenticeship Ministry.

We prepare you to write your exam with our 5 week theory class that corresponds to the Curricula set by the Human Resources Development Corporation as Interprovincial Standards in Canada for Cooks, Assistant Cooks.
